An Improved Web Presence for a Fortune 500 Automotive Firm and its Dealers

Problem Statement

Our client is a Fortune 500 Automotive giant with multiple dealers across the United States. The dealers wanted personalized websites that catered to their customer needs. We built the CMS that empowered the dealers to make their own websites, and then integrated the dealer’s site with the main website using Next Generation Platform.

The integration of the dealer’s website with the client’s official website helped the dealers manage their inventories better. This also helped the dealers in increasing their sales by 26%.

Client Overview

We worked with the digital wing of the automotive giant, providing them the platform to drive more sales. With a solid foundation built by the parent Company and its franchise dealers, and being the only joint venture of its kind, the digital wing understands the automotive and dealer business.

Business Challenges

The dealers wanted to offer something unique to their customers rather than just providing some standard information on their website. They wanted to build a website that shared information that was more relevant to their customers. The client wanted to have these dealer websites on a single platform so that the sites are professional, standardized and easily accessible to the end users.They wanted a site that helps customers in making an informed decision on how much a vehicle will cost in case he/she wants to buy it.

Solution Approach

We built the CMS that empowered the dealers to make their own websites, and then integrated the dealer’s site with the main website using Next Generation Platform (One source of truth). We built an incentive engine, which shows a list of incentives available for a particular model of car that the customer is willing to buy. Using this, the user could make a more informed decision on how much a vehicle would cost if they want to buy it. These incentives can change based on the dealer and the zip codes, so the users can easily play around with multiple dealers and check where they are getting the best deal.

We also built an iOS app for the customers that enabled them to preview detailed information related to newly launched cars
